A Brief History of Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers
Founded by Allister Boote in 1985, Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers (SCCD) initially focused on car breaking, small scale scrap buying and surplus army sales. In 1987, the company began smelting aluminium, producing ingots, a testament to our adaptable business model. As the business grew, we relocated to a larger yard, Moston Road, where we currently reside.
By 2002, we shifted our focus to scrap steel and vehicles, in response to market changes. We expanded our customer base in 2003 by introducing a skip hire service to maximize productivity. In 2005, we began offering dismantling and demolition services, further broadening our capabilities. The first overseas scrap purchase was made in 2007 that paved the way for good working relationships with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
In 2010, we changed our name to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd, better reflecting our services and future vision. Today, we are one of the fastest-growing independent Demolition Contractors in the North of England.
