Our Journey to Providing Demolition Services in Bristol
Our journey began with car breaking, small scale scrap buying and surplus army sales. But as the business expanded, we relocated to a larger yard at Moston Road in Sandbach. In 1987, we built an aluminium furnace at the yard, producing aluminium ingots.
However, by 2002, we shifted our focus to scrap steel and vehicles as the profitability in aluminium reduced. This change also resulted in the removal of the furnace to create more space. In 2003, we became pro-active about steel recycling and increased our customer base by introducing a skip hire service.
Our services diversified in 2005, when we started offering dismantling and demolition services. With our scrap yard well established, we started using online auctions in 2006 to source ferrous and non-ferrous metals from further afield. Our first overseas scrap purchase in 2007 paved the way for good working relationships with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
In December 2010, we changed our company name from Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers Ltd to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd, reflecting our shift in focus towards larger demolition projects.
