Our Journey to Demolition Services in Sheffield
Established by Allister Boote, Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers initially focused on car breaking, small-scale scrap buying, and surplus army sales at its original Bath Street yard in Sandbach. In 1987, we built an aluminium furnace at our yard, marking our foray into aluminium smelting. However, our path shifted in 2002. With less profitability in aluminium and the need for more space, the furnace was removed, and a greater emphasis was placed on scrap steel and vehicles.
In 2003, we became proactive about steel recycling and expanded our customer base by introducing a skip hire service. This change was followed by another significant development in 2005 when we started offering large-scale scrap collection through our demolition services.
In 2006, we began using online auctions to source scrap from further afield. This strategy led to our first overseas scrap purchase in 2007 and helped establish strong working relationships with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
In 2010, we changed our company name from Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers Ltd to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd. This change better represents our focus as we continue to grow and adapt to the evolving market.
Today, Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers is one of the fastest-growing independent demolition contractors in the North of England. We pride ourselves on maintaining excellent working relationships with all our clients and adapt to their changing needs.
Although we are based in Cheshire, our operations extend throughout the UK and Europe. We have been providing cost-effective solutions for plant dismantling, demolition, and site clearance for over 34 years.
