Since our inception in 1985, we have evolved our services from car breaking and small-scale scrap buying to becoming a leading demolition company. We are committed to delivering cost-effective, safe, and timely solutions to our clients’ needs for plant dismantling, demolition, and site clearance.
Our journey began modestly, with our original yard located at Bath Street in Sandbach. However, to accommodate the growing demands of our business, we relocated to a larger yard at Moston Road, where we continue to operate.
In 1987, we built an aluminium furnace at our yard and started producing aluminium ingots. However, as the market dynamics changed, we shifted our focus to scrap steel and vehicles in 2002. This shift coincided with the removal of the aluminium furnace to make more space.
2003 was a pivotal year for us as we became proactive about steel recycling and introduced a skip hire service to maximise productivity. Recognising the need for expansion, in 2005, we began offering dismantling and demolition services on a larger scale.

With the advent of online auctions, we expanded our horizons in 2006 and purchased our first overseas scrap in 2007. This marked the beginning of our fruitful collaborations with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
We rebranded ourselves as Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd in 2010, a name that better reflects our company’s focus. We take pride in being one of the fastest-growing independent Demolition Contractors in the North of England, and our ability to adapt and respond positively to our clients’ changing needs sets us apart.
