Our Journey and Demolition Services in Liverpool
Originally based at Bath Street in Sandbach, SCCD was created by Allister Boote. The primary focus was on car breaking, small scale scrap buying and surplus army sales. To accommodate growth, we relocated to a larger yard at Moston Road, where we are currently based.
In 1987, we built an aluminium furnace at our yard and started producing aluminium ingots. This continued till 2002, when we shifted focus to scrap steel and vehicles. This change was due to reduced profitability in aluminium and the need for more space.
In 2003, we became proactive about steel recycling and expanded our customer base with a skip hire service. By 2005, we sought scrap on a larger scale and added dismantling and demolition services to our portfolio.
With the scrap yard well established, we started using online auctions in 2006 to find ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Our first overseas scrap purchase was made in 2007, establishing relationships with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
In 2010, Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers Ltd changed its name to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd, which better represents our future focus.
Today, Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers is one of the fastest growing independent Demolition Contractors in the North of England. We pride ourselves in maintaining excellent working relationships with all of our clients.
