Our journey started with a small yard on Bath Street in Sandbach, focusing on car breaking, small scale scrap buying, and surplus army sales. With a vision for growth, we moved to a larger yard on Moston Road. In 1987, an aluminium furnace was built and we began producing aluminium ingots. However, as market trends shifted, we too altered our focus, placing a heavier emphasis on scrap steel and vehicles from 2002 onwards.
In 2003, we became proactive about steel recycling and expanded our customer base through the introduction of a skip hire service. We then started offering dismantling and demolition services in 2005, seeking scrap on a larger scale. The first overseas scrap purchase was made in 2007, building strong relationships with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia. In 2010, we changed our name to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers, reflecting our evolved focus.
