Established by Allister Boote in 1985, Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers started as a small-scale car breaking and scrap buying operation at Bath Street, Sandbach. By 1987, we had expanded to smelting aluminium and producing aluminium ingots. As our business grew, we relocated to a larger yard at Moston Road in Sandbach, where we shifted our focus to scrap steel and vehicles.
In 2003, we became proactive about steel recycling and introduced a skip hire service to increase our productivity. In 2005, we began offering dismantling and demolition services, targeting larger scale scrap. We started using online auctions in 2006 to source ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Our first overseas scrap purchase was made in 2007, which paved the way for strong working relationships with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia. In 2010, our company name was changed to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd to better reflect our focus.
