Our Journey to Becoming a Leading Commercial Dismantler
Beginning operations in a small yard at Bath Street in Sandbach, our initial services centered on car breaking, small scale scrap buying, and surplus army sales. With an aim to expand, we relocated to a larger yard at Moston Road, Sandbach, where our business currently operates.
In 1987, we built an aluminium furnace at our yard and began smelting aluminium to produce aluminium ingots. We continued these operations until 2002, when we shifted our focus towards scrap steel and vehicles, in line with market trends.
In 2003, we introduced a skip hire service to increase productivity and in 2005, we initiated our commercial dismantler service, further expanding our operations. By 2006, we began sourcing scrap on a larger scale through online auctions. Our first overseas scrap purchase in 2007 marked the start of our successful collaborations with companies in mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
In 2010, we officially changed our name to Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers Ltd, better reflecting our focus on larger demolition projects. Today, we are one of the fastest growing independent Demolition Contractors in the North of England, known for our excellent client relationships and adaptability.
