SCD ltd successfully tendered for the decommissioning and subsequence removal of 2 x MGM Trinity Quay Cranes and 5 x Rubber Tyres gantry Cranes
All work was completed in strict accordance with UK Health and Safety and Environmental legislation with no reportable incidents.
Issues encountered included the presence of high winds to the location of the cranes.
The work was controlled using the ports work permits and our ‘Dynamic’ method statements and risk assessments which were issued on a daily basis.
Work was undertaken in close proximity to the UK’s Busiest and biggest port
The site was left brush swept clean within the time frame with all material gained being loaded on to a ship to prevent logically issues at the portside.
